Privacy policy — Vikunja Calendar Sync

Vikunja Calendar Sync is a personal automation operated by the owner of the connected Google account. It does not offer accounts to the public.

Information accessed and purpose

The automation accesses Google Calendar information to identify the destination calendar and to create, read, update and remove calendar entries corresponding to Vikunja tasks. Synced entries can contain task titles, descriptions, dates, times and links to the original task. Task identifiers are stored in private calendar-entry metadata to match entries with their source tasks.

The current workflow manages entries in a dedicated Vikunja calendar. Google authorization may grant broader Calendar permissions than this workflow uses.

Storage and processing

OAuth credentials are stored by n8n on the owner's self-hosted infrastructure. n8n encrypts saved credentials using its instance encryption key. Task and calendar data may also be stored in workflow execution records and server backups. Copies of synced task data are stored in the connected Google Calendar.

This workflow does not send task or calendar content to an AI model or use it for advertising. Data is processed by Google and the owner's hosting and backup infrastructure as necessary to operate the integration.

Stopping access and deleting data

The owner can stop synchronization by disabling the n8n workflow and revoke Google access through the connected account's third-party connections settings. Revocation does not automatically remove existing calendar entries, execution records or backups. Those copies can be removed separately through Google Calendar and the owner's server administration tools.
